Inventing creative experience, from artistic stages to nature
Tanya Steinhauser has worked for 15 years in the arts as creative producer, director, performer, dramaturg and mentor.
She is Co-Director of Field Trip Arts, an organisation based in North Yorkshire, that explores the great outdoors using nature as a playground and collaborator in creating adventures, journeys and events that interrupt the everyday and connect people and communities through shared creative experiences.
She was co-founder and artistic director of performance company Foreign Affairs, creating works for a number of prestigious venues.
She directed and produced a variety of site-specific projects in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. She was a trustee on the board of Pavilion Dance South West and chair and advisor of several arts organisations in the South West of England.
Since 2016, Tanya has led a programme of artistic activity that supports artists and ensures Yorkshire Dance is at the forefront of talent development, art-form development and innovation regionally and nationally in the role of Artist Development Producer.
